Responsibilities
- Support the Thermal team in conducting thermal simulations.
- Engage in hands-on work in the clean room, installing and operating hardware.
- Collaborate with subsystems of the spacecraft to provide thermal control.
- Work closely with a mentor and other employees to apply engineering concepts.
- Participate in frequent 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates.
- Attend tech talks and networking events with other interns and employees.
- Contribute to mission proposals through flight operations.
Job Requirements
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master's, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Ability to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Experience in thermal engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) machining is advantageous.
- Experience using a lathe machine is desirable.
