The Thermal Engineering Intern at Rocket Lab will support the Space Systems Division, engaging in thermal simulations and hands-on work in a clean room environment, while collaborating with teams on spacecraft thermal control.
Responsibilities
- Support mission proposals and flight operations.
- Conduct thermal simulations.
- Perform hands-on work in the clean room, installing and operating hardware.
- Collaborate with various subsystems of the spacecraft.
- Attend 1:1 meetings with mentors and supervisors for progress updates.
- Participate in tech talks and networking events.
- Apply engineering concepts to solve real challenges.
Job Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an engineering, physics, or math degree program.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and work in high-performing teams.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Full-time availability for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.
- Thermal engineering experience and knowledge of CAD/CAM is a plus.
