Responsibilities
- Define, process, and interpret static and dynamic ground test & flight data.
- Perform and document structural analyses of vehicle structures, including finite element model verification.
- Conduct structural and dynamic simulations such as static, modal, and random vibration.
- Collaborate with design and test engineers to iterate design concepts and determine test requirements.
- Define test requirements and support testing of vehicle subsystems and components.
- Lead technical projects and programs across disciplines and teams.
- Implement new theory and tools and establish best practices within the team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
- Proficiency with NX Nastran, NX CAD, and Teamcenter packages.
- Experience in spacecraft-level structural test campaign design and validation.
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
- Master’s or PhD in mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Familiarity with analyzing additive manufactured parts and structural analysis of composites is preferred.
