Responsibilities
- Support business development with proposals and mission concepts.
- Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems and mechanisms.
- Create concepts for high-value science and interplanetary missions.
- Define modern satellite system/bus mechanisms.
- Own component designs from conceptualization to production and testing.
- Perform calculations and analyses to inform design decisions.
- Lead design, manufacturing, and testing reviews for key components.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (Senior I) or 8+ years (Senior II).
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and drawing.
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
- Experience in spacecraft/satellite design and testing is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills in mechanical mechanisms.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage project deliverables.
