Responsibilities
- Support business development with proposals and mission concepts.
- Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems and mechanisms.
- Create satellite configurations for high-value science and interplanetary missions.
- Define mechanisms for modern satellite systems/buses.
- Own component designs from conceptual design through production and testing.
- Perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for design decisions.
- Lead component design, manufacturing, and test reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (8+ years for II level).
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawing.
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Experience in spacecraft/satellite design and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on development experience.
