Responsibilities
- Support the Business Development team with proposals and mission concepts
- Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems, mechanisms, and configurations
- Define mechanisms for modern satellite systems/buses
- Own component designs from conceptual design through production, test, and operation
- Perform calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to support design decisions
- Lead component design, manufacturing, and test reviews
- Create and maintain product definitions through CAD and production drawings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (8+ for Engineer II)
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD in relevant engineering discipline
- Preferred: Experience in spacecraft/satellite design and problem-solving skills
- Preferred: Hands-on development and testing experience
