Propulsion Analyst Intern Summer 2026

Responsibilities

  • Support the Neutron Propulsion team with FEA models of designs.
  • Analyze critical rocket engine hardware.
  • Participate in the design and testing of structures and components.
  • Collaborate closely with a mentor and other team members.
  • Attend regular 1:1 meetings for progress updates.
  • Engage in tech talks and networking events.
  • Work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks.

Job Requirements

  • Enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate program in engineering, physics, or math.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • At least 3 months of applied engineering experience.
  • Ability to work in small, high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in software such as Python, ANYS, Siemens NX, Matlab, or Solidworks is preferred.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and lead projects without supervision.
