Responsibilities
- Understand and apply engineering tradeoffs for packaging designs.
- Work with die-casting, sheet metal stamping, and injection molded plastics.
- Utilize CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 or V6, for design work.
- Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on mechanical constraints for PCBAs.
- Conduct and interpret thermal and mechanical simulations (Ansys preferred).
- Design for thermal, vibration, and EMC requirements.
- Perform closed loop tolerance analysis for complex assemblies.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Extensive experience in electronics packaging design.
- Knowledge of GD&T requirements.
- Expertise in high volume production and tooling design.
- Experience with mechanical shock and vibration design considerations.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Hands-on experience with tools and manufacturing processes.
