Responsibilities
- Define vehicle topologies for device connections and integrate with vehicle communication protocols.
- Collaborate with hardware/software vehicle architects for harnessing implementation strategies.
- Derive and maintain information from device transmittals and vehicle architecture.
- Develop complexity matrices for harness families and define connector/terminal selections.
- Ensure design supports cross-functional teams' design intent regarding wire specifications.
- Support vehicle assembly lines for design implementation and issue tracking.
- Assist in creating timing plans and coordinating design changes within the Electrical Distribution Organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wire harness technology or electrical wiring systems.
- Familiarity with Capital Harness Suite and program management tools is a bonus.
- Knowledge of DFMEA principles is advantageous.
- Self-driven with strong initiative and minimal supervision required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).
