Responsibilities
- Contribute to product architecture optimizing user experience, quality, reliability, serviceability, and cost.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications and troubleshoot field issues.
- Implement 'Design for Manufacture' principles in designs and create engineering drawings.
- Conduct FEA and thermal simulations to validate designs.
- Test and validate designs from prototype to production, addressing root-cause issues.
- Contribute to consumer product engineering design beyond charging infrastructure.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with electrical components.
- Experience with thermal and structural constraints in design.
- Proficient in static FEA and CAD software, ideally CATIA.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like injection molding and stamping.
- Creative problem-solving skills with high engineering rigor.
