Responsibilities
- Contribute to product architecture focusing on user experience, quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure designs meet specifications and troubleshoot field issues.
- Implement 'Design for Manufacture' principles in designs and create detailed engineering drawings.
- Utilize FEA and thermal simulations to validate design success.
- Test and validate designs at the prototype level and address root-cause issues in the field.
- Engage in consumer product engineering design in addition to charging products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience designing mechanical parts interfacing with electrical components.
- Professional experience with thermal and structural design constraints.
- Proficiency in static FEA and CAD software, preferably CATIA.
- Experience with manufacturing processes like injection molding and stamping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking in engineering design.
