Responsibilities
- Translate aesthetic styling into production-ready lighting solutions.
- Solve technical problems and evaluate design trade-offs using first-principles reasoning.
- Apply GD&T principles and perform tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Lead the development of DFMEA and validate requirements with DVP&R.
- Manage Tier 1 supplier relationships and technical design reviews.
- Execute engineering change management and maintain accurate Bills of Materials.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively across cross-functional teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-3+ years of experience in lamp development at a Tier 1 or OEM.
- Proficient in designing injection molded parts.
- Understanding of methods for fixing plastic components.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5/V6.
- Capable of generating 3D geometry and sectional data.
- Ability to apply fundamental principles to resolve technical challenges.
