Responsibilities
- Design ground-up hardware for show cars and early prototypes, including mechatronics and power electronics.
- Program microcontrollers and develop embedded software for electromechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design surrogate hardware and overcome bottlenecks.
- Maintain clear documentation for custom architectures to ensure future serviceability.
- Retrofit existing vehicles for unique applications.
- Work closely with fabricators, machinists, and designers on various projects.
- Prioritize agility and rapid problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
Job Requirements
- Understanding of LV and HV vehicle architecture for circuit and wiring design.
- Ability to design PCBs and integrate them into vehicle architectures.
- Experience with mechatronic systems, including motor powering and actuation.
- Strong problem-solving skills in complex and unfamiliar systems.
- Ability to make quick trade-offs and decisions to drive progress.
- Bachelor's degree with an engineering focus.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
