Responsibilities
- Design and release electronics packaging for various vehicle components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to optimize designs for high-volume manufacturing.
- Coordinate mechanical validation and perform CAE analysis for durability simulations.
- Ensure designs meet automotive standards for thermal, environmental, and mechanical performance.
- Manage production tooling and first parts approval for mass production.
- Work with vehicle integration teams to ensure proper module mounting and performance.
- Conduct closed-loop tolerance analysis for complex assemblies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly with electronic modules.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 or V6.
- Experience with die-casting, sheet metal stamping, and injection molded plastics.
- Knowledge of thermal, vibration, and EMC design considerations.
- Familiarity with GD&T requirements.
- Ability to conduct thermal and mechanical simulations, with Ansys experience preferred.
