Responsibilities
- Design and release electronics packaging for automotive components.
- Define packaging space requirements and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensure designs meet automotive requirements including thermal management and manufacturability.
- Manage production by optimizing designs for high volume manufacturing.
- Review manufacturing and assembly drawings for accuracy.
- Conduct mechanical validation including CAE analysis for durability simulations.
- Collaborate on vehicle integration to ensure proper mounting and performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with die-casting, sheet metal stamping, and injection molded plastics.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 or V6.
- Knowledge of mechanical constraints for PCBAs and collaboration with Electrical Engineers.
- Experience with thermal and mechanical simulations, Ansys preferred.
- Familiarity with GD&T requirements and high volume production.
- Expertise in tooling design and closed loop tolerance analysis.
