Responsibilities
- Design and release electronics packaging for internal components.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define packaging requirements.
- Design enclosures for various vehicle systems meeting strict requirements.
- Ensure designs comply with automotive standards and release components into PLM.
- Manage production with suppliers for high volume manufacturing.
- Review manufacturing and assembly drawings for accuracy.
- Conduct mechanical validation and coordinate CAE analysis for simulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with die-casting, sheet metal stamping, and injection molded plastics.
- Proficient in CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 or V6.
- Knowledge of mechanical constraints for PCBAs.
- Experience with thermal and mechanical simulations, Ansys preferred.
- Familiarity with GD&T and high volume production.
- Expertise in tooling design and mechanical shock/vibration considerations.
