Responsibilities
- Assist in the 3D CAD modeling and drafting of ECU enclosures, mounting brackets, connectors, and heat sink assemblies.
- Execute detailed design tasks under the guidance of senior engineers for robust automotive design.
- Support integration and packaging of electronic components within vehicles, ensuring compliance with thermal and sealing requirements.
- Conduct basic thermal analysis and assist in interpreting simulation results.
- Perform closed-loop tolerance analysis based on part drawings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for mass production.
- Document design specifications, change requests, and validation reports.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 0-4 years of relevant professional or intern/co-op experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Foundational understanding of heat transfer and materials science.
- Familiarity with basic DFM/DFA concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate technical issues clearly.
