Responsibilities
- Own at least one project from conceptual design to installation on development aircraft.
- Participate in the full hardware development cycle for automated flight systems.
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team under the guidance of the mechanical engineering manager.
- Engage in hands-on build, testing, and integration of designs.
- Apply mechanical engineering fundamentals in project work.
- Utilize CAD software and FEA packages for design and analysis.
- Contribute to high-priority and value-added efforts within the team.
Job Requirements
- Junior or Senior standing in a mechanical engineering degree program or equivalent experience.
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including statics and dynamics.
- Experience with NX or similar CAD software and FEA packages.
- Demonstrated passion for mechanical or electromechanical hardware.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems through classes, clubs, or hobbies is preferred.
- Skills in technical writing, data analysis, and measurement are essential.
- Eagerness to learn and teach within the team environment.
