Responsibilities
- Drive engine system architecture and concept of operations trades.
- Manage engine interfaces and negotiate requirements for vehicle optimization.
- Support overall engine system development, analysis, and simulation.
- Lead a team of engineers, providing mentorship and project management.
- Communicate with leadership and establish project priorities.
- Make direct technical contributions while supporting team growth.
- Participate in building, testing, and iterating on the Aeon-R engine systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, technology, or mathematics field.
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, including 2 years with liquid-propellant rocket engines.
- Experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in engineering fundamentals related to fluid mechanics and thermodynamics.
- Strong self-starter with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Commitment to team growth and development.
- Familiarity with fluid components and engine subsystems is a plus.
