Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of electronics hardware including PCBA design and power electronics.
  • Oversee the creation of mechanical hardware such as enclosures, trays, and thermal management systems.
  • Manage the integration of harnessing and vehicle-level packaging.
  • Drive the full product lifecycle from requirements definition to manufacturing and testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, test, and operations teams to develop a cohesive avionics system.
  • Develop the skills of engineering leaders within the team.
  • Ensure the avionics hardware meets the reliability standards for spaceflight environments.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing hardware for mission-critical applications in harsh environments.
  • 7+ years of experience in leading engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with the full product lifecycle of hardware development.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical CAD tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing equipment and EMC/radiation effects is desirable.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced development environment.
