Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electronics hardware including PCBA design and power electronics.
- Oversee the creation of mechanical hardware such as enclosures, trays, and thermal management systems.
- Manage the integration of harnessing and vehicle-level packaging.
- Drive the full product lifecycle from requirements definition to manufacturing and testing.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, test, and operations teams to develop a cohesive avionics system.
- Develop the skills of engineering leaders within the team.
- Ensure the avionics hardware meets the reliability standards for spaceflight environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in developing hardware for mission-critical applications in harsh environments.
- 7+ years of experience in leading engineering teams.
- Familiarity with the full product lifecycle of hardware development.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical CAD tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of environmental testing equipment and EMC/radiation effects is desirable.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced development environment.
