Responsibilities
- Drive firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Define power management solutions for future Qualcomm CPUs.
- Engage with open-source communities to support processor architectures and firmware features.
- Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, and firmware lifecycle.
- Assist in identifying skills requirements and hiring engineers.
- Work closely with hardware power management and firmware development teams.
- Provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
- Master's degree with 5+ years or PhD with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience in embedded firmware development and driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments.
- Familiarity with embedded OSes like Zephyr, eCos, or FreeRTOS.
- Experience with pre-silicon environments, including simulators and FPGA emulation.
- Knowledge of ARM v8 architecture and development experience for ARMV8 platforms is a plus.
