Responsibilities
- Drive firmware design, implementation, and verification in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Define power management solutions for Qualcomm CPUs.
- Engage with open-source communities for processor architectures and firmware features.
- Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, and diagnostics.
- Assist in identifying skill requirements and hiring engineers.
- Work closely with hardware power management and firmware development teams.
- Provide input to SoC and platform architects on future designs.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's/PhD with reduced experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience in embedded firmware development and driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments.
- Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture and development for ARMV8 platforms is a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS.
