Responsibilities
- Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Define power management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.
- Engage with open-source communities to support processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.
- Assist in identifying skills requirements and hiring engineers.
- Collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up, debugging, and firmware lifecycle.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and make significant decisions affecting the workgroup.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and contribute to key organizational decisions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 6+ years of experience, or a Master's with 5+ years, or a PhD with 4+ years of experience.
- 3+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and Python.
- Experience in embedded firmware development and working with embedded OSes.
- Knowledge of ARM v8 architecture and development experience for an ARMV8 platform is a plus.
- Ability to take initiative and provide technical leadership.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills necessary for task completion.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for conveying information and influencing decisions.
