Responsibilities

  • Monitors electric distribution system reliability performance at the circuit level
  • Performs reliability studies and system analysis using simulation tools
  • Develops distribution system improvement projects and utility infrastructure solutions
  • Scopes microgrid solutions for enhanced reliability
  • Identifies and scopes Distribution Automation Fault Location, Isolation, and Service Restoration (DA-FLISR) projects
  • Evaluates and scopes wildfire mitigation projects
  • Collaborates with PSE's Grid Modernization team to implement new technologies

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree or PE license in an appropriate engineering field
  • Experience in planning, design, specification preparation, and technical field work (typically 3+ years)
  • Strong organization, documentation, prioritization, and project management skills
  • Experience working within the utility industry (desired)
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering License (desired)
  • Knowledge of engineering economics and utility accounting practices (desired)
  • Experience working on complex engineering projects (desired)
