Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of product components and subsystems.
- Create engineering specifications, requirements, and documents to meet product requirements and industry standards.
- Perform engineering analysis on designs to ensure they meet requirements.
- Write and execute test plans, documenting and communicating results.
- Use statistical analysis to inform engineering decisions and design changes.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure design success.
- Support engineering recommendations with solid statistical background and knowledge of accelerated test principles.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years mechanical design experience.
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid engineering fundamentals in statics, dynamics, stress analysis, and material science.
- Experience with core manufacturing methods including sheet metal and injection molding.
- Proficiency in statistics and experience with statistical software packages.
- Experience defining specifications and test plans for design validation.
- Proficient in one 3D MCAD Package (Solidworks is a plus).
