The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will assist the Manufacturing department with metrics reporting, process improvement, and the creation of process documentation. The role requires hands-on skills and effective communication within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of metrics reporting.
  • Contribute to overall process improvement initiatives.
  • Revise and create process plans and standard work documentation.
  • Measure setup times for machining, assembly, and test operations.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on innovative technologies.
  • Communicate effectively with management and peers.
  • Gain hands-on training and experience in manufacturing engineering.

Job Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a BS degree in manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial engineering.
  • Completed at least two years of coursework; three years preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better preferred.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong computer and writing skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week during the academic year.
