Responsibilities

  • Carry out engineering assignments for mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment
  • Monitor production, installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment
  • Assist in design, development, and testing of prototype hardware
  • Collaborate on material performance validation and production optimization
  • Revise and create process plans and standard work documentation
  • Complete engineering-related tasks including CAD work and hardware integration
  • Participate in team efforts towards group goals

Job Requirements

  • Current student enrolled in a college or university toward a BS degree in mechanical, electrical, or ceramic engineering or material science
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD and test equipment preferred
  • Understanding of military specifications and environment desired
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documents
  • Effective communication skills for group settings
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, with full-time availability during summer
