Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and design of mechanically functioning equipment and processes.
- Monitor production, installation, operation, maintenance, and testing of mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment.
- Review materials supplied by vendors and optimize production processes.
- Conduct testing for material performance validation.
- Collaborate with production on performance issues.
- Complete engineering-related tasks including CAD work, design, and analysis.
- Assist in revising and creating process documentation items.
Job Requirements
- Current student enrolled in a BS degree program in mechanical engineering, ceramic engineering, or material science.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD and knowledge of manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
- Understanding of military specifications and environment desired.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
