Responsibilities
- Carry out engineering assignments for mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment
- Monitor production, installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and repair of equipment
- Assist in design, development, and testing of prototype hardware
- Collaborate on material performance validation and production optimization
- Revise and create process plans and standard work documentation
- Complete engineering-related tasks including CAD work and hardware integration
- Participate in team efforts towards group goals
Job Requirements
- Current student enrolled in a college or university toward a BS degree in mechanical, electrical, or ceramic engineering or material science
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD and test equipment preferred
- Understanding of military specifications and environment desired
- Ability to read, write, and interpret technical documents
- Effective communication skills for group settings
- Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week, with full-time availability during summer
