Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 100 Head Component Tests (HCT) and document results.
- Support vibration testing by reviewing test data and validating correlations against simulations.
- Help formalize internal testing processes for in-house capabilities.
- Gain experience with physical testing, data collection, and test-to-simulation correlation.
- Learn application of industry test standards and interpretation of engineering data.
- Exposure to verification methodology and mechanical behavior in the aerospace industry.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance testing methodologies.
Job Requirements
- Must be a junior/senior undergraduate or master’s student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Relevant coursework in mechanics of materials, vibrations, finite element analysis, and experimental methods.
- Skills in Ansys Mechanical or LS-Dyna, and basic programming for data analysis (Python, MATLAB).
- Strong hands-on lab capability.
- Must work on-site 5 days a week.
- Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- Authorized to work on a full-time basis in the U.S.
