Intern-Head Component Testing

Responsibilities

  • Conduct approximately 100 Head Component Tests (HCT) and document results.
  • Support vibration testing by reviewing test data and validating correlations against simulations.
  • Help formalize internal testing processes for in-house capabilities.
  • Gain experience with physical testing, data collection, and test-to-simulation correlation.
  • Learn application of industry test standards and interpretation of engineering data.
  • Exposure to verification methodology and mechanical behavior in the aerospace industry.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance testing methodologies.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a junior/senior undergraduate or master’s student in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Science.
  • Relevant coursework in mechanics of materials, vibrations, finite element analysis, and experimental methods.
  • Skills in Ansys Mechanical or LS-Dyna, and basic programming for data analysis (Python, MATLAB).
  • Strong hands-on lab capability.
  • Must work on-site 5 days a week.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
  • Authorized to work on a full-time basis in the U.S.
