Responsibilities
- Perform stress analysis of metallic and composite structural components, assemblies, and systems.
- Author analysis documentation.
- Create and/or utilize Finite Element Models (FEM).
- Perform Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) assessments.
- Review engineering definitions for release in the product lifecycle system (PLM).
- Author structural test plans and reports.
- Compare structural test results to analytical models.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience (or 1+ with M.S.).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of airframe static and fatigue stress analysis for both composite and metallic structures.
- Knowledge of industry-standard classical analysis methods.
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods (FEMAP experience is a plus).
- Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6/3DX and ENOVIA V5/V6/3DX is a plus.
