Responsibilities

  • Perform stress analysis of metallic and composite structural components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Author analysis documentation.
  • Create and/or utilize Finite Element Models (FEM).
  • Perform Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) assessments.
  • Review engineering definitions for release in the product lifecycle system (PLM).
  • Author structural test plans and reports.
  • Compare structural test results to analytical models.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience (or 1+ with M.S.).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of airframe static and fatigue stress analysis for both composite and metallic structures.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard classical analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis methods (FEMAP experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency with CATIA V5/V6/3DX and ENOVIA V5/V6/3DX is a plus.
