Responsibilities
- Assumes engineering responsibility for design from concept to manufacturing transfer.
- Performs detailed design and component layout, including BOM and drawings.
- Leads and contributes to the design, development, and testing of system modules.
- Identifies and specifies parts, components, and assemblies.
- Works with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
- Utilizes CAD tools for thermal analysis and structural stress analysis.
- Prepares and chairs design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Substantial experience as a system engineer or principal engineer.
- Strong CAD skills for analyzing heat flow and structural stresses.
- Knowledge of precision motion, linear motors, and tribology.
- Experience with cross-functional team collaboration.
- Familiarity with optical alignment methods and semiconductor equipment standards.
- Ability to manage suppliers of critical parts.
