Responsibilities
- Assume engineering responsibility for component, module, or subsystem design from concept through manufacturing transfer.
- Perform detailed design and component layout including BOM, drawings, and procedures.
- Lead and contribute to the design, development, and testing of system modules and integration.
- Identify and specify parts, components, and assemblies.
- Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of critical components.
- Utilize CAD tools for thermal analysis, fluid flow patterns, and stress analysis.
- Prepare and chair design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Substantial working experience as a system engineer or principal engineer.
- Strong CAD skills for analyzing heat flow, fluid flow, and structural stresses.
- Knowledge of precision motion components and tribology is a plus.
- Experience with linear motors and related components.
- Familiarity with optical alignment methods and hands-on experience is a plus.
- Experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry is preferred.
