Responsibilities

  • Design and update propulsion mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Help resolve design, fit, and integration issues during early builds.
  • Implement design improvements for assembly simplification and efficiency.
  • Create and maintain CAD models and drawings.
  • Assist with prototype and production hardware fabrication and assembly.
  • Develop work instructions, fixtures, or tooling to support assembly.
  • Support bench testing and hardware troubleshooting alongside engineers.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • Comfortable designing hardware using CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Familiarity with common manufacturing processes; hands-on fabrication experience preferred.
  • Enjoys being hands-on with real hardware.
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and desire to make an impact.
  • Participation in student project teams or experience with rapid prototyping is a plus.
