Responsibilities
- Design and update propulsion mechanical components and assemblies.
- Help resolve design, fit, and integration issues during early builds.
- Implement design improvements for assembly simplification and efficiency.
- Create and maintain CAD models and drawings.
- Assist with prototype and production hardware fabrication and assembly.
- Develop work instructions, fixtures, or tooling to support assembly.
- Support bench testing and hardware troubleshooting alongside engineers.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Comfortable designing hardware using CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Familiarity with common manufacturing processes; hands-on fabrication experience preferred.
- Enjoys being hands-on with real hardware.
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Strong curiosity, attention to detail, and desire to make an impact.
- Participation in student project teams or experience with rapid prototyping is a plus.
