Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team and other departments.
- Design various sensor vehicle integration components using CAD tools.
- Develop and fabricate prototypes and testing jigs using in-house tools.
- Conduct self-directed research projects to enhance technology and testing methods.
- Utilize precision measurement tools for component design and testing.
- Participate in hands-on projects related to mechanical engineering.
- Gain experience in rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of undergraduate coursework in mechanical engineering.
- Experience with CAD tools and 3D modeling.
- Familiarity with Matlab, Python, or other simulation software.
- Knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals and materials.
- Experience in a shop environment and rapid prototyping.
- Strong understanding of prototype and mass production processes.
- Bonus: Industry experience in mechanical engineering through internships or co-ops.
