Responsibilities
- Own the engineering design, development, and release of autonomous hardware.
- Lead specification and integration with vehicle partners for platform performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sensing and electronics architecture.
- Benchmark performance and reliability of electronics technologies.
- Identify suppliers to bring concepts to production readiness.
- Manage parts and assemblies from proof-of-concept to production.
- Drive quality improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of mechanical design experience with electro-mechanical hardware.
- Experience across the production pipeline from prototyping to mass production.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes (e.g., rapid prototyping, injection molding).
- Ability to design with a range of materials considering cost, weight, and durability.
- Experience in creating and executing test plans for design validation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CAD; familiarity with UG NX is a plus.
