Responsibilities
- Own the engineering design, development, and release of autonomous hardware for the Nuro Driver system.
- Lead specification and integration with vehicle partners to meet performance needs.
- Collaborate across teams to develop sensing and electronics architecture for self-driving robots.
- Benchmark performance and reliability of electronics technologies for internal decisions.
- Identify key suppliers to transition ideas from concept to production.
- Manage parts and assemblies through proof-of-concept validation to production readiness.
- Drive quality improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency enhancements.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design of electro-mechanical hardware.
- Experience across the production pipeline from prototype building to mass production.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like rapid prototyping, injection molding, and machining.
- Ability to design with various materials considering cost, weight, and durability.
- Experience in creating and executing test plans for design validation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills; self-starter.
- Proficiency with CAD; familiarity with UG NX is a plus.
