Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment for military aircraft.
- Gathering data and developing requirements, interfacing with suppliers, and performing stress and tolerance analysis.
- Acting as a liaison during the manufacturing process to ensure quality and cost objectives are met.
- Developing test plans and conducting environmental testing of Support Equipment.
- Testing and integrating manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft.
- Utilizing design and analysis tools for mechanical design and drafting skills.
- Collaborating in a fast-paced team environment and occasionally traveling to demonstrate equipment functionality.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software for generating engineering drawings.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance.
- For Principal level: 5 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years with a Master's degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
- Preferred experience with FEA software for stress analysis and familiarity with GD&T standards.
- FAA A&P Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance background is a plus.
