Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of test, measurement, and handling equipment for military aircraft.
- Gathering data and developing requirements while interfacing with suppliers.
- Performing basic stress and tolerance analysis.
- Acting as a manufacturing liaison to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are met.
- Developing test plans and conducting environmental testing of Support Equipment.
- Testing and integrating manufactured Support Equipment on aircraft.
- Utilizing CAD software for generating detailed engineering drawings for manufacturing.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software for engineering drawings.
- Ability to maintain an active Secret clearance or higher.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site demonstrations.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with FEA software.
- Preferred: FAA A&P Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance background.
- Basic knowledge of design and analysis tools for mechanical design.
