Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs of Aerothermal systems using thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid flow.
- Provide innovative technical approaches and knowledge.
- Perform thermal-fluid system analysis and predict performance using various codes.
- Conduct prototype tests and analyze test data.
- Work independently on thermal/fluid design projects and support manufacturers and customers.
- Present results in design reviews to peers and customers.
- Define, develop, and implement related R&D projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
- 2-5 years of related experience depending on the level applied for.
- Deep understanding of thermodynamics, fluid flow, and heat transfer.
- Experience with Gas or Steam Turbines.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DOD secret security clearance.
- Preferred: Active Secret clearance and proficiency in engineering coding languages.
