Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts and assemblies using 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting.
- Communicate with suppliers and customers for technical information exchange.
- Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing for design and process improvements.
- Collaborate with various functional areas on product design and documentation.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, and assembly of parts/subsystems.
- Conduct tolerance stack up analysis and document findings.
- Create and deliver engineering briefings or reports for design reviews.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 5 years of experience (or Master’s with 3 years).
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack up analysis.
- Design experience for composite aircraft parts/components and MIL-STD-810 testing.
- Proficient in creating 3D parametric models using CAD software (e.g., Creo).
- Team leadership and strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in aerospace or mechanical engineering and familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management systems.
