Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and development of complex mechanical designs and specifications.
- Develop designs for piece parts and complex assemblies, including fabrication techniques.
- Interface with supply chain and procurement focusing on manufacturability.
- Plan and execute prototype builds for R&D.
- Provide estimates of work and review product development schedules.
- Make decisions to deliver on goals with supervision.
- Work in an office and clean lab environment with limited exposure to disagreeable elements.
Job Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university.
- Exposure to telecom electronic system packaging Mechanical Design.
- 1-5 years of design experience preferred.
- Understanding of thermal design for electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal, plastics, and die casting.
- Proficiency with PTC PRO/E CREO tool.
- Knowledge of PCB design and manufacturing methodology.
