Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers.
- Oversee concept development, design, and engineering for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and program management.
- Guide design execution using CAD, FEA, and simulation tools.
- Champion Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) best practices.
- Partner with global suppliers to validate designs and optimize production processes.
- Lead root cause analysis of manufacturing or field issues and drive corrective actions.
Job Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in leadership.
- Proven track record in sheet metal, plastic injection molding, and electro-mechanical product development.
- Strong understanding of high-volume manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and simulation/validation methods.
- Deep knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
