Responsibilities
- Provide lead engineer function for large or complex projects.
- Develop specifications and design packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Perform factory or field visits to support design reviews and testing.
- Conduct field inspections and develop technical recommendations.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary activities for project execution.
- Provide expertise in codes, standards, and procedures, setting internal standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of related work experience.
- New York State P.E License required, or P.E License from another state with endorsement.
- Experience in a lead engineer role in the electric utility industry preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in electrical design software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects.
