Responsibilities
- Provide lead engineer function for large or complex projects.
- Develop specifications and design packages with technical oversight.
- Perform factory or field visits for design reviews, inspections, and testing.
- Conduct field inspections and equipment evaluations, providing technical recommendations.
- Manage technical and commercial aspects of work performed by external entities.
- Mentor and provide guidance for junior engineers.
- Represent the Authority at industry conferences and review designs produced by others.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of related work experience.
- New York State P.E License required or endorsement within 12 months.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Proficient in electrical design or forecasting software, such as SKM Power Tools.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects effectively.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% and provide 24/7 on-call support.
