Responsibilities
- Provide lead engineer function in support of design modification projects and equipment applications.
- Perform site visits for field condition assessments and equipment evaluations.
- Conduct emergency response as needed, including outside normal business hours.
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary activities for project development and execution.
- Apply codes, standards, and procedures appropriately to work tasks.
- Evaluate engineering requirements to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Review designs, calculations, specifications, and reports from internal engineers and consultants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of eight (8+) years of work-related experience.
- Proficient in the design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in the electric utility industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Experience with mechanical design or forecasting software preferred.
