Responsibilities

  • Design and produce hardware solutions for brain-machine interface devices.
  • Collaborate with neuroscientists, biologists, and engineers to determine design criteria.
  • Own projects from concept to production.
  • Utilize mechanical engineering principles in the development process.
  • Work on reducing surgery time and invasiveness while maximizing safety and accuracy.
  • Engage in rapid prototyping and conventional machining.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to ensure project success.

Job Requirements

  • 6+ months of relevant technical experience outside of the classroom.
  • Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks or similar CAD programs.
  • Experience with precision design and manufacturing.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team.
  • Experience with advanced imaging techniques is preferred.
