Responsibilities

  • Explore early device architectures and drive design decisions.
  • Scope projects to ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
  • Perform market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction.
  • Design 3D CAD and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX and manufacturing integration.
  • Rapidly prototype using existing technologies and develop expanded capabilities.
  • Identify key vendors and maintain relationships to enhance capabilities.
  • Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation of products.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, owning products from concept to production.
  • Strong understanding of engineering's first principles.
  • Experience with DFX, machining, rapid prototyping, and precision design.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Preferred experience in designing and manufacturing implantable medical devices.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and standards (ISO 13485, 21 CFR).
