Responsibilities
- Explore early device architectures and drive design and company direction.
- Scope projects and requirements to ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
- Perform market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction.
- Create detailed 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX.
- Rapidly prototype technologies and develop or source expanded capabilities.
- Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation of products.
- Identify and tackle manufacturing rate limiters and yield challenges.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience.
- Strong grasp of engineering first principles.
- Experience with DFX, machining, rapid prototyping, and precision design.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Knowledge of medical device design regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, 21 CFR).
- Experience in the design and manufacturing of implantable electromechanical devices.
