Responsibilities

  • Explore early device architectures and drive design direction.
  • Scope projects and ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
  • Perform market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX.
  • Rapidly prototype with existing technologies and develop expanded capabilities.
  • Identify key vendors and maintain relationships to expand capabilities.
  • Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation of products.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience.
  • Strong grasp of engineering's first principles.
  • Experience with DFX, machining, rapid prototyping, and precision design.
  • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience in the design and manufacturing of implantable medical devices (preferred).
  • Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and standards (preferred).
