Responsibilities
- Explore early device architectures and drive design decisions.
- Scope projects to ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
- Perform market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction.
- Design 3D CAD and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX and manufacturing integration.
- Rapidly prototype using existing technologies and develop expanded capabilities.
- Identify key vendors and maintain relationships to enhance capabilities.
- Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation of products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, owning products from concept to production.
- Strong understanding of engineering's first principles.
- Experience with DFX, machining, rapid prototyping, and precision design.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Preferred experience in designing and manufacturing implantable medical devices.
- Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and standards (ISO 13485, 21 CFR).
