Responsibilities
- Explore early device architectures and drive design direction.
- Scope projects and ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
- Perform market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction.
- Create detailed 3D CAD designs and 2D drawings with a focus on DFX.
- Rapidly prototype with existing technologies and develop expanded capabilities.
- Identify key vendors and maintain relationships to expand capabilities.
- Develop and execute test plans for verification and validation of products.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of mechanical engineering industry experience.
- Strong grasp of engineering's first principles.
- Experience with DFX, machining, rapid prototyping, and precision design.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience in the design and manufacturing of implantable medical devices (preferred).
- Knowledge of relevant federal regulations and standards (preferred).
