Responsibilities
- Ownership of machine and robotic design projects
- Strong fundamental engineering concept understanding
- Investigation of applicable technologies and components
- Prototyping, testing, and iterating designs
- Generation of supporting design documentation
- Controls and actuator sizing, interfacing, integration, and testing
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software, including modeling and creation of detailed drawings
Job Requirements
- Currently working towards a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong skills in mechanical fundamentals and creative problem solving
- Experience with CAD software (Onshape, Solidworks, etc.)
- Highly motivated, independent, curious, and eager to learn
- Experience in design cycles from concept through production
- Hands-on experience with machine shop and prototyping tools
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and work in a machine shop environment
