Responsibilities
- Lead the design of solar PV, battery storage, off-grid microgrids, and EV charging systems.
- Develop full construction drawing sets in compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility interconnection requirements.
- Perform interconnection studies and create dynamic system models.
- Conduct power system studies, including load flow and short circuit analysis.
- Visit job sites to assess electrical infrastructure for optimal installations.
- Manage vendor relationships and integrate innovative DER technologies.
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to resolve design issues and write technical reports.
Job Requirements
- California PE license (Required).
- 5+ years of experience in power distribution or DER systems.
- Expertise in system design for solar PV, energy storage, and EV infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and utility interconnection procedures.
- Experience with ETAP, SKM, or similar tools for power studies.
- Ability to balance big-picture vision with technical detail.
- Exceptional communication skills for client and team engagement.
