Responsibilities
- Design spacecraft components including primary structures and electronics enclosures.
- Create designs and assemblies using CAD software, specifically Solidworks.
- Route plumbing lines for propellant feed systems and thrusters.
- Collaborate with structural analysts to ensure component integrity during launch.
- Work with thermal analysts to maintain components within acceptable temperature limits.
- Conduct mechanical testing such as vibration and static load testing.
- Support TVAC testing as needed.
Job Requirements
- Experience with mechanical hardware detail design.
- Ability to define requirements for mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with space environment effects on hardware.
- Knowledge of material selection for space applications.
- Understanding of spacecraft structural loads.
- Strong technical communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics with 3+ years of relevant experience.
