The role is for an Electrical Engineering Intern at Molex, where the intern will assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems, firmware development, and testing of optical manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of electrical systems on optical manufacturing equipment
- Design and develop firmware and test software (C, Python, Labview)
- Testing of Optical transceiver, PCBA, and Manufacturing stations
- Fabrication of Special Test Equipment
- Define electrical or control system requirements and specifications
- Perform measurements for RF and optical components in labs
- Conduct data analysis and RF circuit simulation
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical, or related field)
- Experience with C, Python, and JMP
- Understanding of EE tools: oscilloscopes, network analyzers, function generators, logic analyzers
- Understanding of key concepts: computer architecture, digital signal processing (DSP), circuit design fundamentals
- Experience in a firmware-based role or internship is a plus
- Experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, function generators, logic analyzers is preferred
- Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP) and circuit design fundamentals is advantageous
