Responsibilities
- Design structural components and electro-mechanical drive trains for operating room equipment.
- Develop and test prototypes and validation units according to user needs and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable at optimal costs.
- Analyze field input regarding product performance and maintain relationships with manufacturing and marketing.
- Continually seek to reduce product costs through improvements in design and processes.
- Participate in the review of non-conforming materials and assist in problem-solving.
- Maintain accurate design history documentation and support resolution of product complaints.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 2-5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software, preferably Solid Works.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to innovate in mechanical design.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with quality system regulations and standards relevant to medical devices.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing for long periods and operating machinery.
