Responsibilities
- Design, develop, analyze, and test medical soft good prototypes and validation units.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Evaluate clinical feedback regarding product performance from various stakeholders.
- Maintain relationships with Manufacturing and Marketing to meet production commitments.
- Implement cost-reduction strategies through design and process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers and contract manufacturers on mechanical and system designs.
- Conduct design reviews and quality assessments to ensure reliability and consistency.
Job Requirements
- Relevant experience and education in mechanical engineering.
- Ability to apply engineering principles to solve problems and draw conclusions.
- Creative skills for designing human interface soft good products and understanding smart products.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for various materials used in medical products.
- Proficiency in 3D solid modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
