Responsibilities
- Design metal, plastic, and composite patient support structures for operating rooms.
- Develop user actuated mechanisms and electro-mechanical drive trains.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define user needs and product specifications.
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure producibility of designs.
- Evaluate field input regarding product performance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and marketing to meet production commitments.
- Analyze problems and formulate plans to overcome challenges.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or 1 year with a Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in a 3D solid modeling package, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong problem-solving and innovative design skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of quality systems and regulatory requirements.
