Responsibilities
- Support structural analysis of space hardware through hand calculations, finite element analysis, and testing.
- Generate or modify finite element models of space hardware.
- Post-process loads and stress results to determine structural margins.
- Collaborate with mechanical design and manufacturing teams for space hardware development.
- Assist in identifying potential structural risks and contribute to design improvements.
- Participate in a 10-12 week full-time internship during Summer 2026.
- Work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Completed coursework in mechanics of materials, structural analysis, and finite element methods.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with finite element analysis tools (e.g., FEMAP, Abaqus, or SolidWorks Simulation).
- Foundational programming skills in MATLAB or Python.
- Strong academic performance (preferred GPA of 3.0 or above).
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills.
