Responsibilities
- Manage a team of approximately 10 engineers, providing mentorship and task assignments.
- Conduct technical reviews in Astrodynamics with support from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Drive execution on programs for the Astrodynamics subsystem.
- Develop and improve engineering processes.
- Define the team's organizational scope and workflow to enhance efficiency.
- Grow the team through recruitment and internal development.
- Coordinate Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and process/tool improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
- Seven years of experience in satellite design and/or operation.
- 1-2 years of experience as a technical leader managing complex projects or teams.
- Proficiency in orbital mechanics and design, maneuver planning, and delta-V budgeting.
- Experience with orbit design and simulation software (e.g., GMAT, STK).
- Functional management experience preferred.
- Familiarity with on-orbit satellite operations and related technologies.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
