Responsibilities
- Write internal specification sheets and develop drawings for complex products or features.
- Conduct testing on complex features and create external testing and partner engagement plans.
- Identify design flaws using root-cause analysis and validate features through advanced prototypes.
- Create project schedules and monitor performance for hardware engineering aspects.
- Identify significant project risks and communicate progress internally and externally.
- Document complex details about materials, components, and functionality.
- Guide the team’s review of partner products and evaluate materials and techniques used in production.
Job Requirements
- Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
- 11+ years of related technical engineering experience preferred.
- Strong expertise in consumer product design and mechanical architecture.
- Ability to drive results in ambiguous technology development with strong prioritization skills.
- Proven collaboration skills and ability to lead initiatives without formal authority.
- Innovation-oriented mindset with a track record of creative solutions.
