Responsibilities
- Write internal specification sheets and develop drawings for complex products or features.
- Conduct testing on complex feature areas or products and create external testing and partner engagement plans.
- Identify design flaws using root-cause data analysis and validate features through advanced prototypes.
- Create project schedules, monitor performance, and identify resources for hardware engineering aspects.
- Communicate project risks and team progress internally and externally, providing customized reports.
- Document complex details about materials, components, and functionality.
- Guide team reviews of partner products and evaluate materials and techniques used in production.
Job Requirements
- Doctorate, Master's, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
- 11+ years of related technical engineering experience preferred.
- Strong prioritization, documentation discipline, and customer-focused decision-making skills.
- Deep technical expertise in consumer product design and mechanical architecture.
- Proven collaboration skills and ability to lead initiatives without formal authority.
- Innovation-oriented mindset with a track record of creative solutions and technology exploration.
- Ability to drive results in ambiguous early-stage technology development.
