Responsibilities
- Design mechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and systems for high-volume manufacturing.
- Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with suppliers and ODM partners.
- Oversee progress at the ODM and verify engineering designs meet requirements.
- Guide engineering development work to ensure subsystems remain on track for schedule and cost.
- Communicate team progress and identify key program risks.
- Document and share engineering learnings for future product development.
- Embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of related technical engineering experience (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD software.
- Experience designing complex assemblies using various manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and finite element analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience in the consumer electronics industry and high-volume manufacturing.
