Responsibilities

  • Engage with MTA Capital Construction to review electrical and communications bulletin submissions.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with project teams, design consultants, contractors, and station operations.
  • Review and evaluate new AC and DC lighting fixture installations and field mock-ups.
  • Analyze capital project drawings, electrical specifications, and Operations & Maintenance manuals.
  • Provide detailed engineering feedback to enhance project clarity and operational performance.
  • Ensure compatibility of new installations with existing infrastructure.
  • Support quality improvements and innovation in lighting solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Valid New York State Professional Engineer's License.
  • Four years of full-time experience in electrical engineering.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering can substitute for one year of experience.
  • At least one year of experience as a major contributor or project leader on complex projects for higher assignment levels.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, lighting, and power distribution.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
