Responsibilities
- Engage with MTA Capital Construction to review electrical and communications bulletin submissions.
- Participate in coordination meetings with project teams, design consultants, contractors, and station operations.
- Review and evaluate new AC and DC lighting fixture installations and field mock-ups.
- Analyze capital project drawings, electrical specifications, and Operations & Maintenance manuals.
- Provide detailed engineering feedback to enhance project clarity and operational performance.
- Ensure compatibility of new installations with existing infrastructure.
- Support quality improvements and innovation in lighting solutions.
Job Requirements
- Valid New York State Professional Engineer's License.
- Four years of full-time experience in electrical engineering.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering can substitute for one year of experience.
- At least one year of experience as a major contributor or project leader on complex projects for higher assignment levels.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, lighting, and power distribution.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
