Responsibilities
- Oversee design and construction of capital contracts for rapid transit assets.
- Coordinate design reviews for elevators, escalators, plumbing, and utilities.
- Monitor progress and development of Capital Contracts in Design/Construction.
- Evaluate punch-list work and recommend approval or denial of beneficial use.
- Provide inspection, testing, and evaluation of completed work.
- Conduct design & construction progress meetings with departments and contractors.
- Ensure operational support for NYCT systems during construction.
Job Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in electrical or electronic engineering or technology.
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work.
- Valid New York State Professional Engineer's License (for levels II and III).
- Four years of full-time experience in electrical engineering for Electrical Engineer I-III.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications and capital design/construction process.
- Experience in field visits for initial scope/survey and construction monitoring preferred.
