Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and characterize novel wearable tactile sensors.
- Model sensor performance for dexterous manipulation tasks.
- Research and develop next-generation soft wearable sensing technologies.
- Collaborate with the Reality Labs team to solve challenges in soft wearables.
- Address fundamental scientific and engineering questions regarding soft wearable devices.
- Improve tactile sensor designs using experimental data.
- Communicate and publish research findings across disciplines.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Robotics, or a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience with hardware prototyping and soft wearable technologies, or 3+ years optimizing sensor design.
- Must have work authorization in the employment country.
- Intent to return to the degree program post-internship.
- Preferred experience through internships or significant contributions to projects.
- Proven track record of significant results (grants, patents, publications).
- Experience in cross-functional team environments.
