Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners, communicating research plans and results.
- Publish research results and contribute to product development.
- Design and implement elastomeric materials for soft robotics fabrication.
- Synthesize, functionalize, and process polymer materials in the lab.
- Analyze material properties using various analytical techniques.
- Process and integrate new materials into devices for testing.
- Summarize and present research progress and results throughout the internship.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or obtaining a PhD in relevant fields (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering).
- 2+ years of experience in materials research (polymer synthesis, formulation, etc.).
- Experience with elastomeric materials development and integration for devices.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in an academic or industrial R&D setting.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a team environment (preferred).
