Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers and cross-functional partners, communicating research plans and results.
- Publish research results applicable to Meta product development.
- Design and implement elastomeric materials for soft robotics.
- Synthesize and process polymer materials in the lab.
- Analyze material properties using various analytical techniques.
- Integrate new materials into sub-component devices for testing.
- Present research progress and results throughout the internship.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or has a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in materials research, including polymer synthesis and advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Experience with elastomeric material development and integration for functional devices.
- Hands-on laboratory experience in R&D settings.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment.
- Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
- Preferred: Experience in team environments, significant research achievements, and advanced material characterization techniques.
