Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, focusing on structure, mechanisms, and systems integration.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support part fabrication and complex custom sub-assemblies.
- Assemble robot prototypes, conducting hands-on work in the lab.
- Perform failure analysis by building test fixtures, creating test plans, and analyzing data.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering with a focus on Machine Design or Electrical component development.
- Experience in designing electromechanical assemblies for robotics or similar fields.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials.
- Experience with embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
