Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, focusing on structure, mechanisms, and systems integration.
- Collaborate with internal/external partners to support parts fabrication and assembly of robot prototypes.
- Conduct hands-on work in the lab to construct sub-assemblies and full system-level robot prototypes.
- Perform failure analysis through building test fixtures, designing tests, and analyzing data.
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering, specifically in Machine Design or Electrical component development.
- Proficiency in designing electromechanical assemblies (robotics, automotive, aerospace).
- Experience with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Knowledge of prototyping processes and materials.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- BS degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
