Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, balancing ergonomics, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support part fabrication and complex custom sub-assemblies.
- Conduct hands-on assembly of robot prototypes in the lab.
- Perform failure analysis by building test fixtures, designing tests, and analyzing data to refine designs.
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver technical solutions.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering, particularly in Machine Design or Electrical component development.
- Proficiency in designing electromechanical assemblies for robotics or related fields.
- Experience with CAD tools such as SOLIDWORKS or Siemens NX.
- Familiarity with prototyping processes and materials.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and communication protocols.
- Experience in tolerance analysis and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- BS degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
