Responsibilities
- Architect complex mechanical solutions within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Oversee the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with external teams (CM/JDM/Vendors) to enhance internal resource efficiency.
- Champion engineering quality and influence design processes within the organization.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
- Provide technical feedback on engineering and design work.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience in product design and development of handheld/wearable electronics.
- Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Experience in testing and analysis (FEA, Simulation, Design of Experiments).
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in developing end-to-end system architectures for new products.
