Responsibilities
- Architect complex mechanical solutions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Work through the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with external teams to maximize internal resource focus on product value.
- Champion engineering quality and establish the design process.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience in product design and development for high volume manufacturing.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and CAD.
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, Design of Experiments).
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field, experience in systems engineering across various domains.
