Responsibilities
- Intake requirements from researchers, engineers, and product managers
- Liaise between researchers, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Inspire and lead mechanical engineering projects, providing technical guidance and oversight
- Mentor and manage a team of mechanical engineers and other engineering managers
- Collaborate with key partners to support new and ongoing projects
- Determine project priorities and feasibility
- Design, simulate, prototype, and test complex systems
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of hardware experience in mechanical, electrical systems, and/or software
- 7+ years of managing technical teams or leading technical projects
- Experience with cameras, displays, batteries, and other sensors
- Proven track record in technology & product development
- Experience leading mechanical design from concept to manufacture, assembly, and test
