Responsibilities
- Intake requirements from researchers, engineers, and product managers
- Liaise between researchers, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
- Inspire and lead mechanical engineering projects, providing technical guidance and oversight
- Mentor and manage a team of mechanical engineers and other engineering managers
- Collaborate with key partners to support new and ongoing projects
- Determine project priorities and feasibility
- Manage project meetings, schedules, milestones, and risks
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of hardware experience in mechanical and electrical systems
- 7+ years of managing technical teams or leading technical projects
- Experience with cameras, displays, batteries, and sensors
- Proven track record in technology and product development
- Experience leading mechanical design from concept to manufacture
- Skilled in 3D design modeling and physical prototyping
