Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for components, features, or systems.
- Contribute to mechanical solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Manage the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based supply chains.
- Innovate state-of-the-art technologies to solve complex mechanical problems.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Experience with statistical tolerance analysis and functional dimensioning.
- Working knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Preferred: 8+ years in product design for consumer electronics and experience with NX CAD.
