Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for specific components, features, or systems.
- Contribute mechanical solutions as part of a cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to product shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based Supply Chain for project management.
- Innovate solutions to complex mechanical problems with cross-functional teams.
- Travel to external vendors as needed (up to 20%).
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Preferred: 8+ years in product design for high-volume consumer electronics.
- Preferred: MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
