Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for components, features, or systems.
- Contribute to mechanical solutions in a cross-functional team environment.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Oversee the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Innovate state-of-the-art technologies for complex mechanical issues.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficient in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Knowledge of material properties and high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Experience with testing and analysis (FEA, Simulation, etc.).
- Preferred: 8+ years in product design of high-volume consumer electronics.
- Preferred: Experience with NX CAD and designing for human factors.
