Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design for specific components or systems.
- Contribute to mechanical solutions within a cross-functional team.
- Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.
- Oversee the full product development cycle from concept to shipping.
- Collaborate with Asia-based Supply Chain.
- Innovate solutions for complex mechanical problems.
- Travel to external vendors up to 20%.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of industry experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, GD&T, and CAD.
- Knowledge of material properties (plastics, metal, adhesive, glass).
- Testing and analysis experience (FEA, Simulation, DOE).
- Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing techniques.
- Preferred: 8+ years in product design for high-volume consumer electronics.
